Transformers Animated: Lucky Draw “Gold” Optimus Prime (Boxed/Complete)
A gold-chromed version of the Deluxe-class Battle Begins Optimus Prime, Optimus Prime Gold Version was made available to residents of Japan via a lottery. There were several ways to enter the drawing for him: one could clip out and send in a barcode from a single standard Animated toy (or four EZ Collection barcodes), or send in 5 Sega Transformers trading cards, or cut out and send in the appropriate portion of the characters cards included with Paramount of Japan’s Animated DVDs. The entry period of the drawing was August 1st to September 30th, 2010.
Optimus Prime Gold Version was limited to 1,000 pieces.
Released in 2010 as part of a “Lottery Style” giveaway, this figure was only available in Japan, and was limited to 1000 pieces worldwide. This is the Deluxe Class mold, and comes complete in the box. The box does show a bit of wear from age/storage (see pics please) but will still display well. The box has been opened, however the tray is still sealed with all four pieces of tape (one on each edge) still intact. Instructions included and still sealed as well.
