Uniqlo & MediCom: A Look At The 2013 Collaboration Figures

Last time we took a look at the figures released in the 2014 series, so I thought it was only appropriate to follow that up with a brief look at the previous year’s set as well.

MediCom Toys has a long history of collaborating with artists and popular clothing brands. In 2013 they partnered with Uniqlo for their Spring/Summer line to release 9 t-shirts featuring various Be@rbrick themed designs. As part of the colaboration MediCom also released 9 limited edition Bears that showcased similar design elements as the t-shirts.

“Available in limited quantities at the Uniqlo online store, Uniqlo Ginza store, Marché Printemps Ginza store, BicQlo Shinjuku East Exit store, Shinsaibashi store, Shibuya Dogenzaka store, and Sendai Izumi store.”

As per the MediCom blog, these 70% figures were only available at select locations to promote the new shirts. These figures were given away at random to customers who purchased at least two Uniqlo x Be@rbrick shirts during their visit.

Despite only being a year older, completing this set has proven to quite a bit harder than the 2014 set. I’m not sure if the production numbers were smaller, or if there was just more interest in the 2013 set, but this is proving to be a rather hard set to complete. For anybody else interested in the complete figure list I’ve compiled a checklist below. The naming convention on this figures is just as bland as the other set, but as a toy collector, it’s more about the figures than the names.
